How Amazon DSPs save money with Fiverr freelancers, and automate the rest.

A DSP office pays full-time wages for jobs that take a few hours a week. Hand those jobs to a freelancer on Fiverr, pay once to automate the ones that repeat, and hire sellers who do great work for less.

Where a DSP office overspends

Driver pay follows the routes. The office is where money slips away: skilled people spend paid hours on work that is either occasional or the same every day.

  • A dispatcher or office manager copies Amazon files into spreadsheets for an hour or two every day.
  • Recruiting ads, flyers and posts are made in-house, slowly, or by an agency at agency prices.
  • Bookkeeping and month-end reports are paid at full-time rates for a few hours of work a week.
  • One-off jobs, like a careers page, an offer letter template or a training deck, sit undone for months.

None of this needs another full-time hire. It needs a few hours of a specialist's time, paid by the job.

What to hand to a Fiverr freelancer

Fiverr is a marketplace of freelancers who sell fixed-price services, called gigs. You pick a package, pay up front, and Fiverr holds the money until the order is complete. These are the jobs a DSP can hand over first:

RecruitingJob ads for Indeed and Facebook, hiring flyers and short videos for your careers page, written for drivers in your area.
BookkeepingMonthly reconciliation in QuickBooks or Xero, fuel and repair receipts sorted, and a month-end report you can read in five minutes.
Virtual assistantData entry, a clean driver roster, missing paperwork chased and shared folders kept in order, a few hours a week.
Spreadsheets and reportsOne clean workbook in place of five, broken formulas fixed, and a weekly report built from the files you already export.
Website and designA careers page that turns visitors into applicants, a faster website, and artwork for recruiting posts and print.
Documents and trainingOffer letter and policy templates, training slides and handbook layout. Have your employment lawyer review anything legal.

Each one is a single order with a fixed price, so you pay for the job, not for the week, and nothing when there is no work to do.

Go one step further: pay once to automate it

A freelancer who does the same task every week still costs you every week. Pay a freelancer once to automate the task, and it stops costing you anything. Fiverr has developers who build exactly this: Zapier and Make workflows, Google Sheets with Apps Script, Excel macros, Power BI dashboards and small Python scripts. Automations DSPs pay for:

  • The files you already export from Amazon every day, turned into one formatted report that lands in your managers' inboxes each morning.
  • Applicants from your job ads and forms collected in one hiring sheet, each sent a text with an interview time.
  • New-hire paperwork sent the moment an applicant is marked hired, with a reminder until every form is back.
  • License and document expiry dates tracked, with a reminder 30 days before each one runs out.
  • Fuel and repair receipts that arrive by email saved to the right folder and logged in the bookkeeping sheet.
  • Driver feedback forms collected into one sheet, with every low rating highlighted.

Check your software first. Before you pay for an automation, make sure your DSP software does not already do it. Ultimate DSP builds the day sheet from the Amazon routes file, assigns coaching from Scorecard events and refuses a shift that would push a driver over the hours cap, so none of those need a custom build. How to brief an automation job

A clear brief gets you a lower quote and fewer revisions. Five steps, in order:

  1. 1

Write the task down as you do it today

List every click and every file, in order. A screen recording of you doing it once is even better, and it is the fastest brief a developer can get.

  2. 2

Send sample files with personal data removed

Replace names, phone numbers and IDs with made-up values. The seller needs the shape of the file, not your drivers' details.

  3. 3

Agree a fixed price, a date and a handover

Put the price and the delivery date in the order, and ask for a short video that shows how the automation works and how to change it.

  4. 4

Have it built in your own accounts

The workflow lives in your Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or Zapier account, not the seller's. You own it, and it keeps running if you never speak to them again.

  5. 5

Run it next to the manual way for one week

Compare its output with the manual version every day. Switch the manual way off only when the two match.

Pick sellers with fewer reviews, all of them good

The sellers at the top of a search, with thousands of reviews, charge for their rank and juggle dozens of orders at once. The best value is usually a newer seller with a smaller number of reviews, all of them five stars. They price lower to grow, answer quickly, and treat your order as the one that builds their profile.

Sellers based in India are often the best value for this kind of work. Many are skilled developers, bookkeepers and assistants who charge far less than US agencies, and their working day falls during the US night: send the brief at the end of your day, and the work is often waiting the next morning.

What to look for

  • Reviews. Fewer is fine, as long as they are recent, close to 5.0 and describe work like yours.
  • Samples. A portfolio with the exact thing you need, such as a Zapier workflow or a Sheets dashboard.
  • Questions. A seller who asks about your process before quoting has understood the job.
  • Packages. A clear price, delivery time and number of revisions on the gig itself.
  • A small first order. A paid test of a few hours before you hand over the big job.

Hire a freelancer on Fiverr

Here is an example of the kind of seller we mean. Open the gig to see their packages, reviews and delivery times, then send them your brief.

What never to hand over

  • Your Amazon logins. Export the files the job needs and share those, never the account.
  • Drivers' personal data. Social Security numbers, license scans and bank details stay out of every file you send.
  • Admin access to payroll or banking. Give the least access the job needs, and remove it the day the job is done.
  • Payment outside Fiverr. Keep orders and messages on Fiverr, where your payment is held until the order is complete.

The short version

Hand occasional work to a freelancer. Pay once to automate the work that repeats. Hire sellers with fewer, strong reviews, often from India, start with a small order, and keep your logins and your drivers' data to yourself.
